We are a partner driven community where the food oriented quadruple helix (Food Industry, Academia, Society and NGOs) work together, tackling the large scale sustainability challenges of the food system in terms of health, sustainability, attractiveness and preparedness. We start, drive and facilitate collaboration, initiatives and projects that contribute to the development of a regional, national and global sustainable future food system.
Creates change on a systemic level
We take on challenges, and work with large and complex issues that no individual stakeholder can manage on their own. In doing so, we create systemic changes, unique collaborations and make way for new companies, business models and entrepreneurs to thrive.
We are funded by our partners, Region Skåne and financiers in our different projects. And we aim to be the best platform for stakeholders who want to collaborate and innovate the food system together.
30 years of collaboration with food as the core driver
Our Swedish name Livsmedelsakademin truly reflects the fact that our organization were created in 1994 as a development merge where the innovative food industry and the academical researchers could work cross sectional together.
Swedish crash course from Livsmedelsakademin:
Food is called ”livsmedel”
Academia is called ”akademin”
Our focus areas
Attracting talent to the food sector: Many more people must choose a profession in the food industry. The food sector could and should be a natural choice and extremely popular with those who want to work with sustainable development and make real difference.
